A Lyra Game Level
Level Overview
Project Overview
-
For this project, I designed a 5v5 control point level using the Lyra game framework. Lyra is a game built by Epic games and released along with Unreal Engine 5.
-
I've done quite a few multiplayer maps that were team deathmatch, so I decided that building a control point map would be a fun and a good challenge!

Location/Setting
-
Infinity is a Tech Facility that focuses on time traveling technology. It was built inside the Black Forest. which is very dense. It was an ideal location to be hidden away from the public's eyes.
-
Being the tall trees of the forest, naturally conceals what is inside. Architects of the building had the ability to blend nature into their designs. Being that they could preserve some of the existing nature inside the building.
Major Goals
-
High Visibility of space transitions: Want to be able to see other players navigating & make pathing choices, to either directly engage or navigate around
-
Desire to make an interesting blend of nature and buildings
-
Learn the new tools and processes for UE5.
